So yeah I really hope the recreate the Very big campaign from the start and make it this time in fitting proportations. So Ulthuan map in Vortex is the minimum length. In Vortex the scaling is more correct as Ulthuan should be like closer to west of Araby so that the difference between Naggerond and the old world need to be twice as large as well. Brettonia for example need to be at least twice as large and how Athel Loren should really look you see in the Minicampaign. In ME for example Ulthuan is way to north and the great see is not that great. They’ll probably create the new combined map from scratch. WH2 showed that the current map is way to limited and their plans for the game got waaaaay more ambitious than they were originally back in 2015. ME was probably the very early plan for the map, hence the greyed out Area in the east. Yeah it’s obvious that CA learned from previous mistakes. I'm paraphrasing but that was the gist of it. Rich: To this I would say not to worry - we are aware of the expectations our players have in the map going into game 3. Rich: yes we are expanding it etc etc.Īxios: Will Lustria, Naggarond and the Southlands be expanded as they are very cramped.

User: Will the Immortal Empires map be larger in game 3? Effectively the conversation went like this on a total war warhammer Ama on reddit. I can't find the quote - but you can thank your boi Axios for getting the closest thing to an answer we have about this. Yeah Naggaroth in ME is just a super ugly small strip of land without any strategic options to expand.

Its boring to have play that much of the game with badswords and xbow spam. You fight some melee rush factions with you xbow spam and by the time you have a chance to get better units you've already expanded to a point where you're pretty safe. The corner of the map that he is in not fun as you pointed out. Personally I find Malekith to be one of the worst campaigns. It honestly irks me a little that people complain about Lustria so much when Naggaroths design flaws come from the map itself before you even begin to factor in the overcrowding. It turns conquest of it into a linear grind down 1 or 2 major arterial lanes and offers little in terms of strategic play. The mountains are too prominent but hold negligible strategic value as there is nothing valuable on the other side. Naggaroth in ME doesn’t suffer so much from overcrowding as much as bad campaign map design. But I don't particularily like playing the Dark Elfs so I notice it less or it just gets rolled into the overall lack of enthusiasm for the Delfs. Especially Lustria and the Southlands but I do think that Naggaroth suffers a whole lot too, maybe even more than the others. Apart from Ulthuan which I think is alrite I think the other three continents got shafted in Mortal Empires. 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.847 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai.
